HOLLYWOOD IS A STATE OF MIND
Remember the lyrics, "I'm in a Hollywood state of mind"? It tells you right there: Hollywood is everywhere you are. Look around you. Everywhere you go you'll see great looking characters with many great stories to tell. You've got your grunge, you've got your mainstream, and you've definitely got your slick and sexy. These are people that look and talk like they've just stepped out of a contemporary movie. Some folks have that walk. They have their own interesting styles and flair. Their retro, or back in the day wardrobe shows their individual mood, flavor and sometimes a rebellious attitude. And listen to their voices; some have what I call a "money voice" --- an announcer's voice, a pleasant commercial sound --- a cool voice filled with character and expression. Some have exquisite mannerisms as you watch the way they move their hands. Hands are very expressive in films. Go back and watch your favorite movies again; this time pay keen attention to the hands of the actor/actress. You'll be pleasantly surprised by the added depth of your enjoyment of the players, and the film as a whole.
Just about anyone can participate in a production if they can let themselves feel their own inward vibe. Everyone is an actor, or actress. Really! If you know how to tell little white lies, or fake knowing more that you know, and walk like you're somebody important; you can act. So, if you can fit in comfortably with other laid back, understanding and creative people; you could capture and play a character in a story. Simple self-confidence, along with a playful group chemistry amongst other players is what makes it all happen. I'd like your help in producing independent films and videos for the large screen and for hand held mobile devices. Let's see what we can do together.
